September 2010 - NEW BRUNSWICK'S FESTIVAL PLACE - MARKET SQUARE - NOMINATED AS VENUE/EVENT OF THE YEAR!

It is an honour and a pleasure that New Brunswick's Festival Place - Market Square - has been nominated as Venue/Event of the Year as a part of the inaugural Music NB Awards!

It has been another sizzlin' summer on the Boardwalk, and thanks to our visitors and guests, Tenants, and our community partners, it is an honour to be the southern New Brunswick representation for Music NB Awards Venue/Event!

We are the only free, outdoor community event that has had the honour of being nominated for Venue/Event of the Year -- we fit both categories, which only further demonstrates our perfect fit!

As New Brunswick's Festival Place, we are proud to offer festivals and events each and every single day of the summer season, from the first day of summer sun in June 'til August fades away into beautiful crisp air and autumn leaves.

Our events cater to all walks of life, bringing together people from across the street, and across the globe, to our centre!  We boast as the heart of Uptown Saint John, which is the lifeblood of the city itself.

From first coffee 'til last call, seven days a week year 'round, we are your place to shop, eat, explore, and play!

2010 experienced some of the greatest events to date, with old favourites and new events coming together to create a summer chock-full of great memories at Market Square!  Canada Day Weekend Celebrations; Buskers on the Boardwalk 20th anniversary - did you see that cannonlady?!?!; Saint John 225 and Hola Saint John

June 2010 – MARKET SQUARE'S ANNUAL FESTIVAL ON THE BOARDWALK IS NOMINATED FOR WESTJET'S TOP 100 FESTIVALS IN CANADA. In recognition of Market Square’s contribution to the City of Saint John and New Brunswick, the Centre has recently been given the Telegraph Journal - Reader’s Choice award for being one of the Province’s favourite venue locations.  Congrats to the team at Market Square for making it all happen.
